Ashley Clerk, NP/PhD, is a nationally recognized expert in medical aesthetics, combining advanced clinical training with a strong foundation in science and patient care. She holds a PhD in Health Sciences, Masters and post graduate degrees in Nursing and undergraduate degrees in Sciences.

She is truly a lifelong learner, having held roles as an Associate Professor at University of Calgary, as well as a clinician and researcher for the Department of Critical Care Medicine for almost 20 years. Christy is a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Distinction of Honors from the University of Alberta.

With over 20 years of nursing experience, Christy practiced as a Registered Nurse in multiple Intensive Care Units throughout Calgary before transitioning to medical aesthetics and cosmetic surgery in 2018. She is fully certified in Advanced Skin Facial Therapy graduating with honours from The Esthetic Institute where she found her passion for achieving healthy skin with an integrated, multifocal approach. Christy is fully certified and highly specialized as an aesthetic Laser Technician and is nationally certified as an Aesthetic Laser Safety Officer. Christy continued to enhance her career in aesthetics by becoming a nurse injector, certified with the Canadian Association of Medical Aesthetics, and under the esteemed mentorship of Medical Director, Dr. Ashley Clerk. Vanessa is a Registered Nurse, graduating with a Bachelor of Nursing with great distinction from the University of Lethbridge in 2007.

Upon graduation, Vanessa spent over 4 years living and working in Australia, specializing in Cardiac Intensive Care. She returned to Calgary in 2012, joining a plastic surgery clinic and at the time became one of Canada’s few Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialists. For over 12 years she operated as the clinic’s only injector and has provided comprehensive and ongoing care to thousands of clients.

Vanessa prides herself in staying up to date with current techniques and practices by continuing her education and certifications, including the MD Codes system, attending numerous conferences, and participating in multiple cadaver/facial anatomy labs across North America. She is also an active member of the Canadian Society of Aesthetic Specialty Nurses.

Vanessa is excited to join the Bardot Beauty Boutique team, bringing her positive, fun and easygoing nature to her clients. In her practice she works with her clients to develop a comprehensive treatment plan and strives to achieve natural results using safe techniques.

Laura completed her undergraduate degree as registered nurse in 2005 from Mount Royal College. She worked in transplant oncology for over 8 years before pursuing her graduate studies at the University of Calgary to become an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.

She has since worked for over ten years in lung cancer diagnostics. Laura integrates health and wellness into her everyday lifestyle and believes that investing and looking after oneself is multifaceted. Laura has had the opportunity to train in medical aesthetics under the mentorship of Dr. Ashley Clerk after completing her certification through the Canadian Association of Medical Aesthetics.

After many years in cancer care delivery Laura has realized that one of her passions is providing patient centered and focused care. She is looking forward to supporting clients achieve their aesthetic goals.

She began her career with the United Nations’ UNICEF division followed by management in communications, before pursuing her long-time passion in skin treatments and improvements. Sara is a Licensed Practical Nurse that graduated from Bow Valley College in 2023. Already having been in the Aesthetics industry for over a decade she knew that she wanted something more, and furthered her education be able to add Medical Arthritics and Injectable treatments.

Sara works casually at Peterlougheed Hospital as a Surgical Inpatient nurse floating between various units.
